Keven Newsome is a Music Education graduate from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS. He began writing at the young age of fourteen and had completed several short stories by the end of high school. During college, he began writing essays and his essay The Effects of Cultural Mythology on the Fictional Mythology of Tolkien was published on www.theonering.com. He is also an accomplished composer and arranger. His works include many pop arrangements for show choir, vocal settings of selected poems by Shel Silverstein, and also piano and instrumental solos. Together with his wife, he has written and produced a moving stage production called Good Friday: an Easter Remembrance. This original musical/drama is now in its fifth year of production. His first novel, Among Dragons, is an original allegory and is the first of a cycle of stories that use mythical and fantasy concepts to portray Biblical truths.
